The department was in existence since the establishment of the College, with few Educational courses taught then. But in line with Educational reform, that is the B.Ed programme more courses has been introduced to help broaden the horizon of the student- teachers.

HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

Dr. Thomas K. Zonyra

Dr. Thomas has thirty-three years’ experience facilitating teaching and learning, assessment, project work supervision and academic counselling to learners at the basic and tertiary levels. His areas of expertise include but not limited to teaching varied curriculum courses, research, and training, with multiple certificates of merit. These experiences have furthered his deep understanding of the basic and tertiary school curriculum and implementation, accountable school governance and management within the education sector.

Thomas holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Teaching, M. Phil in Curriculum and Teaching, an M. Ed. in Educational Administration; and B. Ed Arts certification all from University of Cape Coast in Ghana. Further to this, he is proficient in MS Office and Internet applications.
